Councilmember Elvig introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #09- 04-075 <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING POLICY FOR ACCEPTING PARK DONATIONS, MONUMENTS, <br />MEMORIALS, AND OTAER IMPROVEMENTS <br />WHEREAS, a formal policy for accepting park donations, monuments, memorials, and other <br />improvements is needed to absorb donation proposals in a manner that is consistant with the goals of the <br />City Parks and Recreation System; and <br />WHEREAS, this policy is needed to provide a standard proceedure for accepting park <br />donations; and <br />'WHEREAS, the City encourages donations of land, facilities, equipment, park <br />improvements and money to support the Parks and Recreation system. <br />NOW Th EREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />That the Ramsey City Council hereby approves the attached Policy for Accepting Park Donations, <br />Monuments, Memorials, and Other Improvements dated April 14 2009. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember McGlone <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor Ramsey <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember McGlone <br />Councilmember Dehen <br />Councilmember Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Look <br />Councilmember Wise <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />None <br />and the following abstained: <br />None <br />and the following were absent: <br />None <br />EXHIBIT <br />E 0 <br />1 <br />
