Councilmember Wise introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #11 -06 -118 <br />RESOLUTION APPOINTING COUNCILMEMBER TOSSEY TO SERVE AS THE <br />PRIMARY COUNCIL REPRESENTATIVE TO THE JOINT LAW ENFORCEMENT <br />COUNCIL <br />WHEREAS, at the first meeting in January of each year, the City Council adopts a <br />Council Organization resolution naming representatives and alternates to the City's committees <br />and boards; and <br />WHEREAS, the Council adopted Resolution #11-01-001 titled Council Organization on <br />January 4, 2011, ; and <br />WHEREAS, Councilmember Jeffrey was appointed as the primary Council <br />representative to the Joint Law Enforcement Council; and <br />WHEREAS, Councilmember Jeffrey resigned his position as Councilmember, effective <br />June 1, 2011; and <br />WHEREAS, a new primary representative needs to be appointed to the Joint Law <br />Enforcement Council; and <br />WHEREAS, Councilmember Tossey was originally appointed as the alternate to the <br />Joint Law Enforcement Council and would serve as the primary representative; and <br />WHEREAS, a replacement alternate representative shall be appointed at a subsequent <br />Council meeting. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the City Council hereby appoints Councilmember Tossey to serve as the primary <br />Council representative to the Joint Law Enforcement Council. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Backous, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor Ramsey <br />Councilmember Wise <br />Councilmember Backous <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember McGlone <br />Councilmember Tossey <br />
