Councilmember Strommen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #11 -09 -165 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PARTIAL PAYMENT TO OMANN BROTHERS PAVING INC. FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT 10 -25 CHAMELEON STREET PAVING WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council adopted a resolution on October 26` 2010 accepting plans and specifications and authorizing the solicitation of bids; and WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for Improvement Project 10 -25, Chameleon Street Paving , bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law; and WHEREAS, on July 12` 2011 the City Council authorized entering into a contract with Omann Brothers Paving Inc. to perform the work. WHEREAS, Public Works Director /Principal City Engineer, Brian Olson has inspected the completed work and recommends partial payment to Omann Brothers Paving, Inc. in the amount of $83,172.98. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council hereby authorizes partial payment to Omann Brothers Inc. for the IP 10 -25 Chameleon Street Paving in the amount of $83,172.98. 2) That the City Council hereby accepts the pay request and authorizes the Mayor or City Administrator to sign the release form for this payment. That the total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of bills for the date of September 27, 2011 4) That the City of Ramsey Finance Department will be provided a signed copy of this resolution.
