EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR'S REPORT <br /> None. <br /> COMMISSIONER INPUT <br /> Executive Director Nelson noted the following items: <br /> September 13 is the fiber optic groundbreaking event. Lunch will be at Ramsey City Hall, as the <br /> County Boards are also meeting at Ramsey City Hall. <br /> The opening of the Veterans Clinic is Friday, November 11 (Veteran's Day), at 1:00 pm. The <br /> program will be held at The Fountains and tours of the new clinic will commence following the <br /> program. <br /> Executive Director Nelson advised there is some discussion that a sub brand is subtly developing <br /> around the transit village. She suggested staff explore this issue and help determine whether it <br /> should be called this, or something to b rand that area of the City. <br /> Commissioner Strommen noted the brands should be nested and the nesting should make sense. <br /> She suggested the Council have a discussion regarding this in the near future. <br /> Commissioner Ramsey suggested asking Economic Development/Marketing Manager Backman <br /> for an update on the rest of the City, and that it be a regular column in the newsletter. <br /> Executive Director Nelson noted the Falls Restaurant, formerly Wells Catering, has moved their <br /> operations to the new Falls Restaurant facility.
