Part One: Overall Framework <br />There are a number of framework that apply to the entire COR including recommendations for <br />stormwater management, parks, streets, land use, parking, transit and other development components. <br />Many of these overall COR framework overlap, or are integrated with one another. For ease of <br />discussion they are categorized according to the same list of 'layers' that formed the basic structure for <br />the Master Framework: <br />• Context - local, city, regional <br />• Street Hierarchy --access, circulation, arrangement <br />• Streetscape—preferred design, location <br />• Parking -- quantity, location, type <br />• Building Design-- preferred uses, horizontal/vertical mixed use, built form, character of <br />development <br />• Signage—design, location, quantity, type <br />• Stormwater Management-- surface water features, stormwater management <br />• Parks/Public Spaces - parks, trails and open space <br />It is essential that proposed design solutions for development projects and other improvements within <br />The COR demonstrate an understanding of the interplay between these layers. <br />Design Framework - The COR Page 2 <br />
