However, the payment of the doubled fee shall not <br />relieve any personlof any other requirement or penalties prescribed in this Section. <br /> <br />9.12.2 0 Administration <br /> <br /> Subd. 1. The Zoning Administrator shall process applications for permits. The <br />Building Official ~ts empowered, upon presentation of proper credentials, to enter or inspect any <br />building, structure, or parcel in the City for the purpose of inspection of a sign and its structural <br />and elecrr/cal conr~ections to ensure compliance with all applicable codes and ordinances. <br /> <br />9.12.21 ViOlations <br /> <br /> Su~}d. 1. When, in the opinion of the Zoni.ng Adminis~ator, a violation of the <br />code exists, the Zdning Administrator shall issue a written order to either the owner of the sign or <br />the owner of the p~operty on which the sign is placed. The order shall specify those sections of the <br />code involved, delcribe the violation and shall direct that the violation be corrected within thirty <br />(30) days from thee_date of the order, unless otherwise specified by the Zoning Administrator. <br /> <br /> Sul ~d. 2. If the Zoning Administrator or Building Official finds that a sign is <br />abandoned or is slracturally, or electrically defective, or in any way endangers the public, the <br />Zoning Administr!;tor or Building Official shall issue a written order to the owner of the sign and <br />occupant of the prl;mises stating the nature of the violation and requiring repair or removal of the <br />sign within sixty (li0) days of the date of the order. <br /> <br />9.12.22 Removal of Signs by the Zoning Administrator <br /> <br /> Sul~d. 1. The Zoning Administrator may cause the removal of any illegal sign, <br />any sign remam~n[[ after a bus~ness permanently closes, or any s~gn not properly maintained m <br />cases of emergent,, or after failure to timely comply with written orders for removal or repair. <br />After removal or d~molition of the sign, a notice shall be mailed to the sign owner and owner of the <br />property where th{ sign was located stating the nature of the work and the date on which it was <br />performed and derganding payment of the costs as certified by the Zoning Administrator together <br />with an additional ~0% for inspection and incidental costs. <br /> <br />Page 16 of lg <br /> <br />'77 <br /> <br /> <br />
