COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> 7.01: Request for an Interim Use Permit to Allow for the Operation of a Church in the H- <br /> 1 Highway 10 Business District on the Property Located at 6701 Highway 10 NW; <br /> Case of Northern Light Church <br /> Environmental Coordinator Anderson reviewed the staff report and presented the Planning <br /> Commission's recommendation for approval coinciding with the lease term. <br /> Motion by Councilmember Wise, seconded by Councilmember Backous, to adopt Resolution <br /> #11 -10 -211 adopting Findings of Fact #0893 relating to Northern Light Church's request for an <br /> Interim Use Permit to allow for a church operation in the 1-1-1 Highway 10 Business District and <br /> to adopt Resolution #11 -10 -212 Approving the Request for an Interim Use Permit and Declaring <br /> the Terms as Proposed. <br /> Further discussion: Mayor Ramsey stated he had voted against this request initially; however, the <br /> City Council has affirmed its support so he will vote in support of the motion. Councilmember <br /> McGlone stated he had voted against this initially because he does not think Ramsey's residents <br /> would support this request and he intends to vote against the motion. Councilmember Tossey <br /> stated he had voted against this request initially because it did not make financial sense but this <br /> action relates to the Interim Use Permit so he would vote to support the motion. <br /> Motion carried.
