CASE <br /> <br />REQUIgST FOR AN INTERIM USE PERMIT FOR A TEMPORARY <br />STRUCTURE; CASE OF CITY WIDE GARAGE DOOR COMPANY, INC. <br /> I By: Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Ivan Clausen of City Wide Garage Door has submitted an application for an interim use permit to <br />place a temporar~.~ structure at 6845 Highway #10 N.W. The structure is approximately 648 square <br />feet in size and will be used to replace office space damaged by fire until the principal building on <br />the property is repaired <br />Following the fi~'e on June 14, Mr. Clausen found himself in an emergency situation and in <br />immediate need of office space on the site in which to try to carry on business activities and <br />coordinate repair~ to the building, tn order to accommodate his immediate needs in an emergency <br />situation, City Stai~ff gave Mr. Clausen permission to bring a temporary office structure onto the site <br />prior to any actipn by the Planning Commission and City Council. This pre-approval was <br />contingent upon lei'ir. Clausen entering into an agreement and depositing a $500 financial guarantee <br />with the City to erlsure timely removal of the temporary structure in the event the permit application <br />is denied or uponlthe expiration date established in an approved permit.
