Figure 2: ~ndover Bridee Ootions

Figure 2 illustrates four possible Rum River bridge crossings to the City of Andover. The four
[
options include:

A~
B.
C.
D.

PowerIine easement corridor
Golf Course corridor
Boy Scout Camp corridor
153rd corridor

Each comd0r offers its own opportunities for land use development potential. The preferred
option is cokidor C, Boy Scout Camp. This corridor is favored because it is equidistant
between the two existing bridges at CR 116 and Seventh Street in the City of Andover. It also
allows extending the bridge connection west of TH 47 to the intersection of Nowthen and
Sunfish Lake B}vds.

Utilization of this bridge corridor would enable the Boy Scout camp to redeveloper as
residential property if the camp ceases operation.

To date, none of these options have been specifically discussed with the City of Andover or the
Boy Scouts }>fAmefica.

FiRure 3: Elk River Connection

Figure 3 illustrates an east-west roadway connection with the City of Elk River. The existing
173rd St. wr~uld be improved and extended into the City of'Elk River. Extension of 173rd St.
is consistent, with the City of Elk tLiver's transportation plan, which will create an east/west
corridor through Elk R/ver. Jarv/s Street would be extended and improved jointly by the Cities
of Elk River,and Ramsey.

The proposed land use in this area would be predominately Single Family Residential. A
possibility may exist for a small neighborhood commercial center depending on area
development patterns.
