In addition, this S~c0on is intended to pro,de a m~chamsm ~nabiin8 tM distinction b~twe~n permitted home occupations and special or customarily "more sensitive" hom~ occuy~tiona, so that permitted home occupations may b~ allowed through and ad~mstrative process rather than a'legi~iutlv~ h~aring process. l}ca i.. This Section shall not be construed, however, to apply to .home occupations acccssoU to farming. ~ockd.ures and 1) ~&rmi~ome~uuation. ~y permitted home occupation as defined this Ordinance shall re~uirc a "permitted home occuvation vurmit". Such p rm,s shall ~e lgs~ed subject to the conditions of this Section, other application Ci~ Ordlnanc~s arid Stat~ law. This permit may be i~ued by thc Zoning Administrator or his agen~ based upon proof of compiianc~ the pro,st%ns of t~is Section. Application for th~ "permitted home occupation permit ~hall be accompanied by a fe~ as adopted by th~ Ci~ Council. If the AdministratOr demos a permitted bom~ occuEation permit lo an opplicam, ~e applicant may appeal thc decision to the Planning ' Commission. The Planning Commission shall make a recommendation to the Council, which shall make th~ final dec,Ion. Thc Planning Commission and CiF Council may impose such conditions on the ~anting of a special hom~ permit as may be necussaU to car~ out th~ purpose and provmons of thi~ S~ction, ~ofPe~k. A "special home occupation p~rmit" may be issued for a pc;riod of one (1) year after which the permit rfiay be reissued for periods of up to three (3) years each. Each application for permit renewal · shall, however, be processed in accotclance wiLh the procedural requiremenLs of the initial "special home occupation permit".
