CASE <br /> <br />AMENDMENT TO SECTION 9.03.04 OF THE RAMSEY CITY CODE <br />ENTITLED CONDITIONAL USE PERMITS <br /> By: Sylvia Frolik, Zoning Administrator <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey has been notified by Metropolitan Council that the procedures established in <br />City Code for issuing Conditional Use Permits are inconsistent with Minnesota Statutes §360. <br />Ramsey's procedures are inconsistent in that they do not require notification of the Minnesota <br />Department of Transportation when a structure is proposed to exceed 200 feet in height. <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />The purpose of tonight's public hearing is to receive input from residents as to the proposed <br />change in Chapter 9 of the City Code. This change is the addition of the following item to section <br />9.03.04 Subdivision 2 and the renumbering of the entire subdivision. <br /> <br />e) <br /> <br />Any sponsor who proposes any construction or alteration that would exceed a <br />height of 200 feet above ground level at the site, or any construction or alteration of <br />~eater height than an imaginary, surface extending upward and outward at a slope <br />of 100' to 1' from the nearest point of the nearest runway of a public airport shall <br />notify the MnDOT Commissioner at least 30 days in advance. <br /> <br />The proposed ordinance is enclosed for your review. <br /> <br />Recommen clarions: <br /> <br />City Staff recommends that the Planning Commission recommend adoption of the proposed <br />Ordinance. <br /> <br />Commission Action: <br /> <br />Motion to: <br />Recommend that City Council adopt Ordinance g94-XX, mending Chapter 9 of the <br />Ramsey City Code (Conditional U se Permits). <br /> <br />Reviewed By: <br /> <br />PC: <br /> <br />City Administrator <br />Zoning Adrninis~ator <br /> <br />12/06/94 <br /> <br /> <br />
