Format and PrGcedures The procedure for applying for the City of Ramsey, Park and Recreation Charitable Gambling Fund Improvemeot Program is to supply an answer to each of the qualifying and priority criteria's contained within ~is application. In most eases a "Yes" or "No" or "N/A" may suffice, in some instances a sentence or an attachment may be needed. The applicant may also reference other areas of the application (e.g.: please see objectives, or please see narrative) After responding to the criteria, the applicant should provide a project description or narrative. Generally less than a page should be adequate. Pictures or sketches may be helpful. Attached to the narrative should be the project's expected outcomes and a brief summary of each of the projects objectives. Within the application, be 'sure that in addition, the following elements of the project are dis~'ussed: 1) 2) 3) 4) 5) 6) 7) 8) 9) Timeline - Start to completion Budget - Total required and sources Cooperators - Including documentation of all commitments Experience - include references to similar activities Have any of the fundable activities commenced Are any individuals or groups potentially adversely affected Is the applicant prepared to make financial commitments for future operation and maintenance Has the project been reviewed by any other funding source Is there an economic development aspect to the project Oualifving Criteria The following statements are intended to guide proposers in determining which projects will be eligible or more likely to be funded: The project should clearly and primarily benefit both youth and identified recreational needs in Ramsey. The project should have a low degree of liability or that which is commonly associated with recreation md parks. The project should not be more appropriately funded by another source. Priority Criteria The following priority statements are intended to encourage quality projects that make the fullest use of City resources: Does the project provide for a recreational facet not yet developed in Ramsey or otherwise unlikely to occur? Does the project have a high degree of being repeated or increasing in value? The projects outcome should not require a high degree of maintenance relative to its "worth". The project, if possible, should have more than one potential user group.
