An), revisions or refinements to the Plan will be addressed <br />by the Park and Recreation Commission. <br /> <br />2'ne Pretimj'nary Draft. Trail Plan is being presented to the Planning and Zonin~ <br />Commission to demonstrase relationships between the Land Use Plan, ?noroufnfare <br />Plan and ~he Trail Plan. These relationships take many forms and present, many <br />oppor umtfes. One such opportunity is potential to include the width of off-road trails <br />in open spgCe dedications. Another opportunity' is inclusion of on-road trail widths in <br />dedicat~on~ or acquisitions for roadway rights-of-way. <br /> <br />TIIAIL SYSTEM GOALS <br /> <br />Goals taken from the Citfs 1991 Comprehensive Parks and Open Space Plan and <br />information from Mr. Mark Boos, City- Parks/Utilities Super~Ssor, were used to develop <br />the Pre'[imi'nary~ Draft Trail Plan. These were presented to the Comprehensive Plan <br />Study Committee in an Ap~l 6, 1994 memorandum, but are outlined below for the <br />benefit of ~] Con'm~ission rnembers <br /> <br />A long range Capital Improvement Budget and Program (CIP) should be <br />dev~loped to provfide efficient use of park land [and trails] to meet the <br />expanding needs of people. <br /> <br />Recreational facilities should be designed to meet the needs of people, <br />especially at the neighborhood level. <br /> <br /> <br />
