07.05.94 DRAFT FOR REVIEW <br /> <br />RUM RIVER CENTRAL REGIONAL PARK MASTER PLAN <br /> <br />RRCMP: X- 1 <br /> <br />Section X: Special Needs: <br /> <br />A team of Anoka County employees including County Parks Staff, <br />with the aid of a consultant, conducted a Self-evaluation and <br />prepared a Transition Plan consistent with the Americans With <br />Disabilities Act of 1990. <br /> <br />Currently, the County is implementing a prioritized list of <br />modifications, to bring its most used and most needed facilities <br />into compliance with ADA. <br /> <br />The Countylhas funded some work in parks, other work is planned <br />and/or beihg carried out with Legislative Commission on Minnesota <br />Resources ~rant funds to the Regional Park System, through <br />Metropolitan Council. <br /> <br />The County .is committed to carrying out the modifications called <br />for in the~transition plan, in both County and Regional Parks, as <br />~unding is ~ound. New facilities will be planned to maximize <br />compliance ~with ADA (and other standards and regulations) by <br />County direction to staff as well as to consultants, planners and <br />architects. <br /> <br />rrcmp-lO <br /> <br /> <br />
