1) Does your family use area pa.r~? If so. which parks? Which park aclivitJes does your fmnit), pardcipme in?

Qnce we went to Tttterude Park to use the children's piay equipment. Because of the hDl~fl tb dl'i~lL w0 .
just haven't used area parks as much as we'd like. Also, It's difficult to bike to neighborhood parks from
our development. Consequently, we Installed swings tn our yard, and bike within the development (have
to avoid Highway 47 - it's a deathtrap!).

2)

Does your family include children? 'C/hal are Iheir ages?
We have two children - ages 4 and 2.

~)

What {ypes of park facilities would best serve >,our family? How do you anticipate the Fox Ridge Neighborhood Park will be
used by >,our family.'?

The primary benefit of a neighborhood park to our family would be to have equipment that the children
can play on (slides, swings, jungle gym, etc.), and areas for walking, biking and rolterbtading. I also
think a picnic area where the kids could bring a picnic lunch and go to the park would be great!

4)

I have listed some of the potential ideas for developing the pm'k. Please indicate which faciiities mostfle~st interesl you,

A) Children's play equipmenL YES! This is an absolute priorityt
1) swings. Yes.
2) jungle gym complex. A mush
3) siide. A must!
4) s~ndbox. A must!
5) cement tunnel. This would be fun[
6) others (plea.se specify) Anything the budget allows!![

B)

c)

D)

E)

o)

Outdoor exercise circuit. Not for our tamiiy.

M~rsh boardwalk and wildlife viewing facilities YES! YES[

Naturalist interpretive information/signs/. Yes, eventually..
the marsh! "

Picnic shcker and/orpicnic tables. YES!

Horseshoes. Not a priority for us.

Canoe Access Point.
immediate priority.

YES! Love this ideal is itpossibte????!!!
But first let's get the boardwalk through

I don't think this is possible. But if it is, it would be nice, but not an

Vo!ieyball Court. Not ~or my fatuity.

Others (pier, se specify). Grill? Bike racks? As much open space as possible. Landscape
improvement? Its a bit sparse - could use a shade tree or two.

5)

~qaat, in your opinion, should the focus of this park be?

Focus on families with young children and take advantage of the natural marsh. Emphasis should be
placed on the preservation of the marsh and its quiet beauty. It's a wonderful place to visit - it's filled
with life! Lots of turtles, birds and bugs! Also, from my observations, lots of the neighbors walk, bike,
stroll with their infants, and rollerblade,.so some sort of path that would allow for these activities to
gravitate toward the park tot maximum use would be a nice'feature.

6)

Adrlidonal comments and/or suggestions?.

Thank you for the opportunity to express our thoughts and opinions. My husband andlappreciate
having a voice in your planning! l look forward to seeing a neighborhood park in the future!
