-'-E'a'-~resident should have reasonable access to Ramsey's trail system with a minimum of <br /> <br />thorough-fare crossings. <br /> <br />~ significant State and Count.,,, Highway roadway should have, at n-~inimum, a paved <br />shoulder designated for non-vehicular transportation. Eventually a parallel treadway <br />separated by curb and boule~,ard is desired. <br /> <br />The City should establish pedestrian and bicyclist safety as a key priority in its traffic <br />control enforcement program. <br /> <br />The City should aggressively seek development, operations and maintenance funding for <br />trail segments that are of regional importance. <br /> <br />The CiD' should identify and prioritize those trails serving an important u'ansportational role <br />~ paralletina Highway #47 J[o utilize Federal Highway Administration or Minnesota <br />State Aid dollars for construction. <br /> <br />In existing trail corridors, a landscaping program should begin utilizing seedling stock to <br />separate and buffer adjoining land uses. Each plan will consider providing sight lines to <br />assist the public in monitoring trail activity. <br /> <br />All trails received through subdivision platting should be constructed concurrent with the <br />development infrastructure to encourage and expedite trail plan completion. <br /> <br /> <br />
