CITY OF RAMSEY <br />JOB LISTING <br /> <br />POSITION TITLE: <br /> <br />Fire Chief <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT: <br /> <br />Fire Department <br /> <br />POSITION TITLE OF <br />IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: <br /> <br />City Administrator <br /> <br />PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION: The Fire Chief has overall responsibility to the <br />citizens of the community for the conduct and performance of all personnel in the department, as <br />well as responsibility for the development, implementation, and enforcement of policies and <br />procedures. The Fire Chief works to constantly improve the delivery of service to the public, <br />while maintaining the safety and efficiency of the department. <br /> <br />SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: <br /> <br />A. Responsible for overall supervision of department members. <br /> <br />B. Responsible for alt administrative duties. <br /> <br />C. Responsible for all equipment, buildings, and grounds that are part of the department.. <br /> <br />D. , Provides community service/public relations activities. <br /> <br />E. Coordinates and establishes adequate levels of training for all members.~ <br /> <br />REQUIREMENTS: -~~ three years" ~re Department <br />experience. One y~ar fire command experience. First Responder certification. Good written and <br />verbal communication skills.
