Case #5: i Personnel Issue <br /> <br />Fire Chief Grff, fm stated that recently a situation arose within the Fire Department that called <br />for disciplin~ary actions and suspension of a fire fighter. He stated that if any of the <br />Boardmembors had any questions or concerns, he would speak to them individually. <br /> <br />BOARD INPUT <br /> <br />1) StatUs of Personnel <br /> <br />Boardmember Pearson inquired what the status was of the Fire Department personnel. <br />Fire Chief Griffin reported that there are 24 people on Department. There are eight fire <br />fighters avail~tble for days (six of them respond from work, two do not). He stated that the <br />Department ~ould use more daytime fire fighters. He felt the number of evening fire <br />fighters avall~tble was adequate. <br /> <br />ADJOURN: <br /> <br />Motion by Ceuncilmember Beyer and seconded by Boardmember Williams to adjourn the <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmember Beyer, Boardmembers <br />Williams, M~Laughlin, Pearson and Simpson.
