All services selected by the City will be <br />provided for a peri[od not less than three (3) years to allow a reasonable lenguh of time for cost <br />and quality evalua~ion. Three months before the three year service period is over, AEC will <br />inform the City of)ny and all adjustments in cost made to provide the billing service, so that <br />the CiD' has time t0 evaluate the new billing service proposal prior to the end of the initial three <br />year agreement. <br /> <br />We hope that this Proposal meets with your approval, and we are read',' to take the next steps to <br />implement the ser?~ic¢. Should the CiD' decide to have AEC perform ~he municipal billing <br />service AEC is prqpared to help the City inform Ramsey residents of the utiliD, billing service <br />and new utility biI~ format. Whichever level of service the CiD' determines to be in its best <br />interest can be app)'oved by either resolution of the CiD, Council, or by contract. <br />In conclusion, A~C has developed the Ramsey UtiliD, Billing Proposal with the goals of <br />offering a service that would: <br /> <br /> * Increase ithe accuracy of billing accounts and statements. <br /> <br /> * Provide the oppormnit3' for increased municipal utility cash flow. <br /> <br />* Decreasa the need for the City to invest in computer hardware and software. <br /> <br />Lower the overall cost of operations for the Cits'. <br /> <br />Provide ~ value added service to the customer by being able to pay a number of uti.liD, <br />bills with one check, in one envelop, to one entin..,. <br /> <br /> * Maximia~e effectiveness and efficiency by using processes and technology akeady <br /> existing at AEC. <br /> <br />If you have any q~estions concerning this proposal please call Doug Uhrhammer, AEC Mgr. of <br />Community Devel6pmem and Public Affairs, at 323-2723..
