The existing Police space is remodeled for City Hall use.

Advantages

Fire Station addition can be accomplished with minimal disruption to City Hall.

Relocation c~f Planning, Engineering, and Inspections to the Public Works
Facility will ~ree-up lower level City Hall for conference and meeting space.

Land use add site size will accommodate Police/Public Works in a new facility
, [
and provide;adequate vehicle and equipment storage, maintenance, and
support areas.

Site plan copcept provides access to Public Works administration on the same
size as the (~ity Hall lobby. The vehicular activity, fueling, and outside storage
are screened from view from the general entering City Hall.

Site plan concept locates all facility development to the south half of the site,
allowing greater potential future development in.~he northern quadrants.

Disadvantages

The relocation of Police Planning, Engineering, and inspections to the Public ·
Works Facility lessens the proximity to other City Hall department s and access
to the publi~.

The site deS;ign concept as it relates to the Public Works facility represents
significant site development costs for excavation and grading.

The Poiice Department has a much stronger functional relationship to City Hall
than it does;to Public Works.
