CASE <br />REVIEW AND ADOPT TIIE 1995 BUDGET CALENDAR <br /> By: Jessie L. Hart, Finance Officer <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Charter specifically states that a budget calendar shall be established annually by <br />resolution. ~ <br /> <br />Before reviewing ~tnd adopting the calendar, it should be noted that due to 1994 being an election <br />year, it will be nec~ss~ to re-schedule the City Council meetings that would normally be held on <br />Tuesday, Septem~r 13, 1994 and Tuesday, November 8, 1994. It is recommended that these <br />meetings be re-sel~eduled to the Mondays immediately preceding the regularly scheduled dates as <br />follows: ~ <br /> <br /> Tuesda~y, September 13, 1994 changed to Monday, September 12, 1994 <br /> Tuesday, November 8, 1994 changed to Monday, November 7, 1994 <br /> <br />The adoption of the 1995 Budget Calendar as presented is contingent upon re-scheduling these two <br />meetings. <br /> <br />The attached calendar is structured a bit different than in past years due to the early start on the <br />1995 budget proe{~ss. As you can see, there are several areas where work has already begun and <br />other areas wher~ the timing has been changed. These changes were necessary to facilitate <br />departmental requlrements and how the budget process is being approached this year. <br /> <br />All of the dates in{:lieated for County and State activities are based on the time frames from 1993. <br />We have not recei,~ed anything to indicate that the timing for the processes indicated will change for <br />1994.
