Response to public inquiries on City matters; Formal and informal advice on personnel matters including interpretations of federal, state and local rules and regulations relating to personnel matters; and Staff meetings and meetings as deemed necessary by the City Administrator in order to maintain communication and give legal advice on various City issues. C~mpensation: The City shall compensate each Firm attorney licensed to practice law for those services described in Paragraph 2 above, the following hourly rates: $80.00 per hour in 1995 and 1996 $~5.00 per hour in 1997. T~e City shall compensate paralegals and law clerks at the rate of $30.00 per hour during 1995, 1996 and 1997. The present flat rate of $100.00 per meeting will continue during the term of this Agreement for attendance ak Council and Commission meetings. There will be no separate charge for clerical staff. The Firm shall also be separately reimbursed for any c~sts and disbursements which it incurs in connection with providing any of the services described in Paragraph 2 of this letter. Reimbursable costs and disbursements shall not include charges for secretarial or word p~ocessing services. Billings by the City Attorney to t~e City for services, costs and disbursements shall be made monthly or that frequency as directed by the City F~nance Officer. The billing statement shall be of s~fficient detail to adequately inform the City c~ncerning the tasks performed, the attorney performing t~em, the time spent on each such task and the nature and the e×tent of costs and disbursements.
