Sunfish Lakq- Recreation Area - This speaks to the community park property to be developed <br />north of the laDdfill and south of 153rd Avenue N.W. <br /> <br />Central Park~Expansion - This represents the second part of development of the east 35 acres. <br /> <br />Riverdale/M~s$issippi Regional Trail Development - This speaks to the earlier trail <br />projected to be~encouraged parallel to the Mississippi River. You will note that there is a projected <br />$20,000 from t~e Parks Improvement Fund being matched by National Parks Service dollars. It is <br />unclear wether[the Parks Service will actually provide these dollars or they could be awarded to the <br />Minnesota DNa for dissemination to local agencies. In many cases, soft match labor, can be used <br />as matches for these inter-agency programs. <br /> <br />Rum River Corridor/Neighborhood Park Improvements - These are projected to be <br />improvements c~n the various parks along the river, including picnic area development at or near <br />Outlot A on the ~Juniper Woods trail. <br /> <br />Woodland Green Park Expansion - Near this time frame, it is expected that the properties <br />east of Woodiar/d Green Park will be developed into urban home sites, necessitating the expansion <br />of Woodland G~'een Park to the east, with probable residential street connection of Bear Park. <br />Depending on tlxe recreation trends of the time, this park expansion could see, among other things, <br />tennis courts or fiallfields, etc. <br /> <br />Forest HideawSy Park Improvements - Also near this timeline, the City may see increased <br />densities from tlte subdivision of land west of County Road #83 requiring a tot lot and similar <br />development at the as yet undeveloped Forest Hideaway Park property. <br /> <br />As we approach the final year of the five year plan, the City will certainly amend the CIP to reflect <br />new needs and a41~just improvements identified in this five year listing. For this reason, the year <br />2000 is intended to be vague.
