Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for irs Moption: RESOLUTION ~)4-0 8- RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A BUDGET AMENDMENT FOR THE CAPITAL PURCHASE OF TWO DIGITAL PAGERS FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WHEREAS, at the Fire Boa_rd meeting of Wednesday, August 17, 1994, there was approval for the addition of two additional f'~re fighters; and WHEREAS, it is necessary that all f'u-e fighters are provided a means of quick notification in the event of emergency or fire; and WHEREAS, at the Council's Finance Committee meeting of August 22, 1994, staff presented a request for the purchase of two digital pagers for the additional f'u-e fighters; and WHEREAS, the funding of approximately $900 is available through budget reallocations in the Adopted 1994 General Fund Budget; and WHEREAS, the Finance Committee approved this recommendation and hereby recommends that the Rarnsey City Council authorize the purchase and funding sources as detailed within this resolution. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the capital purchase of two digital pagers for a total not to exceed $900. 2) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the budget reallocation of funds in the Adopted 1994 General Fund Budget as detailed in this resolution. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duty seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following were absent: and the following abstained: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 22nd day of August, 1994.
