It <br />is suggested thal, in addition to the roadway, an off-road trail be completed as an MSA eligible <br />project expense~ It is projected that the acquisition occur in 1994/1995 with construction in <br />1995/1996. Thi~ will complete the crosstown that exists between Roanoke Street N.W, east of <br />Trunk Highway ~47 through the community to Highway gl0, a distance of over six miles. This <br />project has increased in cost fairly dramatically. After completion of an Environmental Assessment <br />Worksheet, the ~ity altered the alignment to avoid a protected wetland. Costs further increased to <br />mitigate potential impacts on habitat. Although it is north of the Burlington Northern railway, this collector will <br />disperse primarily commercial and industrial traffic from local sources along Highway #10. It is <br />contemplated thlit eventually this roadway will run from its intersection with Jaspar Street N.W. <br />near Sunwood ~ve N.W. and Armstrong Boulevard N.W. southeast to the border with Anoka <br />with the intent o~' connecting to Thurston Avenue as well as Trunk Highway #47 within Anoka. <br />Within this Capi~l Improvement Program, it is projected that: improvement along this corridor will <br />occur in 1995 anal again in the year 2000.
