Ir~i 1993 the Council set up a policy of matching funds for donations and requests for expendituresi~from this fund. It is projected that the funds will experience annual $3,000 expenditures beg!nning in 1995 from fund interest earnings. Given other projected development in this part of Rar~sey any park in the area should include tennis courts, picnic areas and a playground. It co~uld also serve as a trail head for the Mississippi and Itasca trail corridors. It is proposed that park trust fund dollars be set asiq~e to enhance the area somewhat. Included will be bleachers and a backstop for the playfield in addition to minor tuff improvements.
