CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council met on Tuesday, September 28, 1993, at the Ramsey Municipal <br />Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor James Gilbertson <br />Councilmember Sheila Beyer <br />Councilmember Glen Hardin <br />Councilmember Kenneth Peterson <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator Ryan Schroeder <br />Finance Officer Jessie Hart <br />City Engineer Steve Jankowski <br />Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br />Police Chief Michael Auspos <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gilbertson called the regular City Council meeting to order at 7:10 p.m. and led in <br />the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Rebecca Lernke, 14361 Uranium Street N.W., Ramsey, informed Council that her <br />concerns (drainage problem in Cedar Hills) have been discussed and recently resolved. <br />The solution is due to the cooperation and the ability of City Engineer Steve Jankowski. <br />She stated that Mr. Jankowski's level of communication and assistance has been paramount <br />in getting the problem resolved. <br /> <br />Council thanked Ms. Lemke for her comments and asked for a copy of her letter of <br />commendation for Mr. Jankowski's personnel file. <br /> <br />Vic Hagenah, 15231 Jackel Street N.W., Rarnsey, requested City Council look at the area <br />behind the Brooks store (County Road #83). He stated the mess behind there is totally <br />unsightly and that, if needed, he could get several complaints about it in writing. He stated <br />that he also watched the video of the Council meeting of September 14, 1993, when the <br />extension of 153rd Avenue N.W. was discussed. He stated that when Councilmember <br />Beyer voted in the negative, Mayor Gilbertson admonished her and also used language that <br />was not professional. <br /> <br />Mayor Gilbenson agreed with Mr. Hagenah and stated a public apology. <br /> <br />City Administrator Schroeder stated that Project Manager Gromberg has inspected the site <br />behind the Brooks store but he (Schroeder) was not certain what was being done about the <br />mess at this time.
