commit~e. T~ey have an even balance of folks who are in favor of expanding the <br />transportation ~ystem and those opposed to it. He reported that he and City Engineer <br />Jankowski wey~e at the meeting and presented Ramsey's view on the transportation <br />expansion. He[felt it went well and that he received a couple of calls from Dayton citizens <br />who expressed [the same feeling. Dayton will continue the process. <br /> <br />5) Update on Adult Bookstore <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich stated that the Fedea'al District Court case is still pending. <br /> <br />6) Update on Charter Commission Meeting <br /> <br />City Administrator Schroeder stated that the Charter Commission discussed going to a <br />ward system v~sus an at large system for Council. The next Ramsey Resident will have a <br />request for citi~ns to provide input regarding their feelings on this issue. Mr. Schroeder <br />stated the Char~ Commission will be continuing this discussion <br /> <br />Councilmemb~r Peterson added that the Charter Commission also discussed primary <br />cie. orions. ~ <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman felt that the present Councilmembers are pretty well spread out <br />around the en~e City right now and he felt that if the City was divided, the residents <br />closest to Elk River may not vote. <br /> <br />Councilmemb~r~ Beyer agreed that this would make these residents feel more separated <br />from the rest. - <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />Motion by Co0ncilmember Hardin and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to adjourn the <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Hardin, Beyer, Peterson <br />and Zimmermin.
