Case g2: P~'oposed Modification for Tax Increment Financing District No. 2
fo~'~ the Sunfish Square Development.

The EDC r¢c~iv~ a copy of thc Modified Development Program, Development District No. 1 and
Modified Tax In~m~nt Financing Plan, Tax Increment F'mancing District No. 2. The reason for
the proposed ~cations for this plan is that the dcvclol~rs of Sunfish Square subdivision, at
the corner of I~dustry Avenue N.W. and Sunfish Lake Boulevard N.W., have r~quested
assistance from 4¢ City in the site restoration of this property to facilitate development of Sunfish
Square. The p~ areas of interest am Sections Q, T, V, Z and Exhibit 2. On March 8, 1994,
Rarnscy City Go~cil will be conducting a public hearing to review the proposed modifications.

Motion by Comr0issioner Nelson and seconded by Commissioner Kent to recommend approval of
the modifications!to the Tax Increment Financing Plan to the P. am y City Council.

Motion carried. ~Vofing Yes: Commissioners Stafld, Nelson and Kent. Voting No: None.
Abstaining: Conm~',issionerUllen. Absent: Chairperson Wagner.

Case #3: 19

As previously dis
conjunction with
Saturday of June
possibility and ha
from the Lions CI

94 Ramsey Business Expo.

:ussed, there is the possibility of scheduling the 1994 Ramsey Business Expo in
the Ramsey Lions Community Picnic. The picnic is generally held on the fn'st
. Mr. Gromberg has spoken with some of the Ramsey Lions regarding this
g been invited to the first picnic planning meeting in order to obtain a firm answer
ub. Mr Gromberg said that he sent the second mailing of the survey included in

the agenda pack~t to the participants of the 1993 Ramsey Business Expo. After the second
mailing, it may b~a good idea to contact the businesses to guarantee some type of input. To date,
about half of the ~sponses have been received.

The feasibility of~holding the 1994 Ramsey Business Expo in conjunction with the Ramsey Lions
Community Picni~ was discussed.

Consensus of th~ EDC was to not hold a Business Expo in 1994. The Expo in 1995 may be
combined with th~-- Ramsey Lions Community Picnic; thus allowing more time for planning.

The EDC also discussed the 1994 Business Appreciation Day scheduling and agreed to change the
day from a Fridag to a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday in the last or second to the last
week of August.

The EDC directed Mr. Gromberg to contact both local golf courses to receive bids on a per golfer
basis. ~

Motion by Comn!issioner Kent and seconded by Commissioner Ullen to appoint Ken Wagner as
Chairperson of th~ 1994 Business Appreciation Day.

Motion carried.
