The City of Champlin will submit to the Metropolitan Council a MetrOpolitan Urban Service Area expansion request in early 1994. City o~ Day, on. The City of Ramsey is well aware of the potential location of a bridge crossing the Mississippi River ~onnecting with the City of Dayton. Dayton has formed a task!force to examine this issue and to determine if such a brid~e is appropriate for its community and if so, where should~it be located. This bridge could reduce traffic congestion on the area regional roadway system. The City of Ramseyiwill want to work closely with Dayton on this issue. city of Elk River. There are currently no specific land use issues ithat should be of concern to the City of Ramsey. However, the City of Elk River is currently updating its comprehensive plan and the City of Ramsey may wish to coordinate its planning activities with those of the City of Elk Ri~er. The City of Elk River has indicated that its next development area will be that area adjacent to the city of Ramsey. The city of Elk River is currently completing engineering studies to determine the necessary public improvements that will be needed to support development in this area. The City of Ramsey will want to monitor these activities to ensure that Elk River's proposed land uses are consistent with those of Ramsey's. City of~Andover. There are currently no specific land use issues Pith the City of Andover. The City, however, recentl~ completed a Metropolitan Urban Service Area expansibn request with the Metropolitan Council. O~her l~cal governments. There appear to be no immediate land us~ related issues that should concern the City of Ramsey ~n either the City of Oak Grove or Burns Township.
