Chairperson ~.Wagner stated that the Economic DeveloPment Commission based their <br />decision on in, formation they had at hand and that he is not aware of any other issues. <br /> <br /> Mr. Hendrik~en stated that Commissioner Ullen has stated that it's important to have a <br /> north/south transportation system. <br /> <br /> Commissioner Ullen suggested that when the time comes, the entire City of Ramsey will <br /> have a chanc~- to bring in issues of concern. She stated that as a Commission, they had <br /> done their jolt. <br /> <br /> Commissione~' Kent stated he disagrees that the Planning Commissions recommendation is <br /> different from the Economic Development Commissions recommendation. The outlook for <br /> future growtl, will be on the north and east end of the City. We will need roads to <br /> accompany th is growth. The road will move the east/west traffic along County Road gl 16. <br /> Traffic will g ~ up Armstrong or Ramsey Boulevard. That's not a lot different than what <br /> the Planning lommission brought up. <br /> <br /> COMMISSI! }N INPUT: <br /> <br /> 1) Anok$ Electric Cooperative Joint City Sign <br /> <br /> Economic D~velopment Coordinator Gromberg Stated that he met with Anoka Electric <br /> Cooperative (.~EC) this afternoon and they indicated they are interested in putting a sign up <br /> that may sa~ something like "Ramsey, new home to AEC". He reported that the <br /> Commission ~till had funds left that could be spent on this joint sign project. <br /> <br /> Commissione~' Ullen inquired of the cost to which Mr. Gromberg stated he did not know <br /> but that the Commission could put a cap limit on the amount they would contribute. <br /> Commissione~r Ullen then suggested that Mr. Gromberg research the cost and bring back <br /> the informatio? to the Economic Development Commission at their next meeting. <br /> <br /> ADJOURNI~IENT <br /> ? <br /> <br /> Motion by COmmissioner Ullen and seconded by Commissioner Stafki to adjourn the <br /> meeting. - <br /> <br /> Motion carrie.
