CASE <br /> <br />APPLICATION FOR USED MOTOR VEHICLE SALES <br /> CASE OF ROBERT WOJCIK <br /> By: Mike Auspos, Police Chief <br /> <br />LICENSE; <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Robert Wojci:~k, dba Ramsey Auto Sales, has applied for a motor vehicle sales license. On <br />September 13, 1994, his application was tabled by Council, and Staff was directed to <br />further examine the application vis-a-vis the ordinance and for the Zoning Department to <br />review the si~ for City Code compliance. <br /> <br />Ol~servat~ons: <br /> <br />During the in}erim period from September 12, 1994 until October 31, 1994, Mr. Wojcik <br />has done som!~ rearranging of his vehicles in the sales lot so as to create parking space for <br />customers. ~ has removed vehicles that were sitting off the paved/improved areas of his <br />lot; the gene.~l appearance has improved. On October 31, 1994, Mr. Wojcik met with <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik, City Attorney Goodrich, and me, at City Hall. We addressed <br />the issues that~had been presented to Council in September. Mr. Wojcik said he is going to <br />mark an area {or customer parking, will keep any "junk" vehicles off the property, and will <br />not do any sal~,age operations. <br /> <br />As to .jumping of vehicle titles, Mr. Wojcik stated that the two persons involved in our <br />police cases ~or this violation no longer work for him and he will be attentive to this <br />problem. <br /> <br />It should also'be noted that Mr. Wojcik still has an outstanding balance of $126.11 from <br />Escrow #8041~2 (Conditional Use Permit to expand Auto Sales) that should be paid prior <br />to issuance of ~ City license. <br /> ? <br /> <br />Mr. Wojcik currently holds a temporary Minnesota Motor Vehicle Sales license, valid until <br />November 24,i 1994. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Staff is recommending approval of Mr. Wojcik's application for a motor vehicle sales <br />license, upon ~ll payment of the outstanding escrow balance. It should be noted that Mr. <br />Wojcik paid his yearly license fee of $100 upon initial application in August 1994.
