AUTHORI <br />STORAGE <br /> <br />CASE # <br /> <br />ZE BUDGET AMENDMENT TO CONSTRUCT A PROPERTY <br />FACILITY IN METAL PUBLIC WORKS BUILDING AT 14100 <br /> JASPAR STREET N.W. <br /> By: Jessie Hart, Finance Officer <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Due to a recent ce ~scation of "stolen" property, the Police Department needed to utilize the garage <br />normally used fo: winter vehicle storage for the storage of said property. With the approach of <br />winter weather, ii is important that the police have a place to park at least one squad indoors. <br />While most of th! property will be forfeited at a point in the future, it must be maintained in a <br />secure area. <br /> <br />Based on discussi <br />that a secure prop{ <br />at 14100 Jaspar <br />construction labo~ <br />also be useable b <br />storage. <br /> <br />The possibility of renting one or more storage bays has been considered. The cost to do this <br />would be approxi~nately $100 to $150 per month for an area large enough for the property that <br />would be stored i!here. If the property was held for at least 6 months, the cost would total <br />approximately $6(g) to $900.
