Councilmember ~ <br /> <br />intxoduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #94-11-~ ~aa~d <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING ABATEMENT OF TAXES AND <br />RECLASSIFIOATION TO EXPEMPT STATUS OF PIN 27-32-25-33-0008, <br />LOCATED AT!14100 JASPAR STREET N.W., FOR PAYABLE 1995 <br /> [ <br /> <br /> WHERE,4,S, the City purchased the property located at 14100 Jaspar Street on August <br /> ? <br />31, 1994; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the deed for the parcel identified by PIN 27-32-25-33-0008 was filed with <br />Anoka County on September 7, 1994 as document #1134351.0 Abstract; and <br /> <br /> WHERE41S, said property was purchase for the purpose of housing the City of Ramsey <br />Public Works Dep~u'trnent; and <br /> WHERE ~&~S, the use of said property causes it to become exempt from taxes; and <br /> WHEREAS, property deeds filed after August 1st of each year remain identified as <br />taxable properties ~for the year following the filing, even if used for tax exempt purposes; and <br /> <br /> WHERE/SS, to remedy this taxable situation, it is necessary that the City of Ramsey <br />approve and ~e w~th Anoka County, a request for abatement of these taxes and reclassification to <br />exempt status for ~ayable 1995 and future years. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey hereby approves the application to Anoka <br /> County fo~ the abatement of taxes and reclassification to exempt status of the parcel <br /> identified ~y PIN 27-32-25-33-0008, located at 14100 Jaspar Street N.W., for payable <br /> 1995 and f~ture years. <br /> <br />2) That the Ciiy of Ramsey hereby autho_,fi_zes the Finance Officer to process all paperwork as <br /> required by,the Anoka County Auditor s office in this regard. <br /> <br />The motion for th~ adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> and u~on vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor: <br /> <br />and the following vbted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this <br />the 22nd day of No~ ember, 1994. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />City Administrator <br /> <br /> <br />
