PUBLIC WORKS REPORT FOR OCTOBER 1994 <br />By: Merle Mevissen, Public Works Supervisor <br /> <br />Time spent ia Public Works for October consisted of the following: <br /> <br />Merle and Mick attended a Snow and Ice Control Seminar which was informative. It talked <br />about the ne~ methods of sanding, new equipment and the purchase of equipment. <br /> <br />The Department did some patching of potholes and some sweeping in the Urban Area. <br /> <br />Storm sewer Imaintenance consisted of repairing one catch basin and replacing one catch <br />basin. <br /> <br />Building mai, ntenance was in the new Public Works garage and consisted of removing <br />unnecessary ,things from the building and cleaning up the inside. The roof job has been <br />completed, tl~e insulating is finished, and the sheet rocking is nearly finished. I am in the <br />process of g~ting prices on painting the ceiling and walls which will be done before the <br />electric and heat is installed. <br /> <br />The winter sOpply of salt-sand is mixed and ready. The plows are on and the trucks are <br />ready and waiting for snow. <br /> <br />/jmt <br /> <br /> <br />
