Topics <br />to be discusse4 include but are not limited to: · identification of key issues, <br /> · sour[es of background information, <br /> · potel~tial uses and connections, <br /> · supL~rt materials necessary for meetings..with City staff and consultants, <br /> · proj{Ict phasing and ownership issues, as well as project schedule <br /> · iden!ify alternative funding mechanisms for park development <br /> · Pubic participation <br /> <br />Task 2 - Asser~ble Base Information - Tour Project Area <br /> <br />Consultant to ~ssemble project base maps from available data sources. Existing boundary and <br />topographical ~urveys and aerial photography will be used to create a CAD/GIS base map for the <br />project area. A~t, ditionally, confer with the Anoka County Conservation District on the land cover <br />and natural resources and as well as soils patterns. During the project tour, a photographic <br />inventory is roi be completed and project features that are not apparent on the base maps will be <br />added. <br /> <br />Task 3 - Generate a Park Service Area Analysis <br /> <br />Consultant to Mather and compile relevant 1 and use and housing information to determine the <br />likely number <br /> hh, hest and <br />best' land use~ within service area for planning purposes. Review appropriate public planning <br />documents and existing plats to estimate households that will be within reasonable walking or <br /> · <br />biking &stanc{ from the park. Analyze the impact that other nearby park facilities will have on <br />the proposed phrk. <br /> <br /> [ <br /> <br />Task 4 - Dev~op Concept Master Plans <br /> <br />Consultant wi~l assemble two to three concept master plans. The purpose of the plans is to <br />broadly explo~ varying approaches to the overall development of the park area. Concepts will <br />investigate diff, erent use placements, patterns of structured and unstructured open space, and a <br />variety of trailiand access alternatives. Concept plans will relate possible future.housing within <br />service area to yark planning. <br /> <br />Assist in hostithg a open house at a regular Park and Recreation Commission meeting to receive <br />addmonal ~de~ and comment from residents on the varying concept plans. <br /> <br />-173- <br /> <br /> <br />
