Ramsey Police Department Monthly Report <br /> March - September 2003 <br /> <br />General Police Statistics and Highlights <br /> <br />March <br /> <br />· Animal Control <br /> <br /> One dog was impounded in March, which was returned to its owner. <br />Trainin~ <br /> <br />Officers completed 50 hours of training. Courses included a Gamma Shoot, <br />Criminal Procedures for Cops, and Armorer training. Office staff attended a data <br />practices seminar offered by the Professional Law Enforcement Assistants <br />Association. <br /> <br />Requests for proposals for towing, impounding and storage of motor vehicles were sent <br />out on March 1st. Proposals will be received until March 31st. A contract will be <br />implemented with a towing company on April 15®. <br /> <br />Council advised to go forward with revisions to the pawn ordinance to include the <br />implementation of the Automated Pawn System and to draft a separate ordinance for <br />second hand goods dealers. <br /> <br />April <br /> <br />· Animal Control <br /> <br /> Sex, eh dogs were impounded in April. <br /> was euthanized. <br /> <br />· Traininz <br /> <br />Six were released to their owner and one <br /> <br />Officers attended 93 hours of training in April. Courses included Driving School, <br />Critical Incidents for First Line Supervisors, Intoxityzer Recertification and Taser <br />training. <br /> <br /> <br />
