Norman <br />Assistant City Administrator Heidi Nelson <br />Finance Officer Diana Lund <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />Community Development Director Sylvia Frolik <br />Assistant Director of Public Works Brian Olson <br />Police Chief James Way <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the City Council Work Session to order at 6:10 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />There was none. <br /> <br />TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> <br />1) 2004 Budget <br /> <br />City Administra(~3r Norman explained that since the last budget meeting, the Department Heads <br />have met to dis~ss the budget, but they would like more time to discuss the issue further. For <br />the purposes of this meeting staff requested that the discussion focus on franchise fees. <br /> <br />Finance Officer Lund explained that if the Council is inclined to proceed with a fi'anchise fee on <br />a per meter basts rather than a percentage the ordinance would have to be re-introduced on <br />Tuesday, Octobe~ 14th. <br /> <br />City Council Work Session/October 7, 2003 <br /> Page 1 of 14 <br /> <br />-27- <br /> <br /> <br />
