2. It is the policy of Minnesota Housing to take affirmative action to provide equal opportunity in all of our <br />programs and other endeavors. Minnesota Housing's goal is to achieve a client and recipient mix that is <br />representative of the people who live in our state and our communities, so that all employment and <br />contractual benefits that develop as a result of our programs will be shared by all residents of <br />Minnesota. This policy applies to all Minnesota Housing employees and everyone with whom we do <br />business. <br />3. Memorandum of Understanding among the U.S. Department of the Treasury, the U.S. Department of <br />Housing and Urban Development and the U.S. Department of Justice. <br />• The parties to this agreement, among other measures, agree to share information with the <br />appropriate state housing finance agency including the name of the low-income housing tax <br />credit property owner, the address of the property and a summary of current actions, including, <br />charges, lawsuits, settlement agreement or consent decree and other actions. <br />The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) enforces the Fair Housing Act. Minnesota <br />Housing will refer complainants to HUD for follow-up and/or investigation. Any finding of discrimination, <br />adverse final decision by HUD, adverse final decision by a substantially equivalent state or local fair housing <br />agency, or an adverse judgment from a federal court is a violation that Minnesota Housing must report to the <br />Internal Revenue Service <br />2012 Housing Tax Credit Procedural Manual I 24 <br />
