Councilmember Wise introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #11 -12 -246 <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE 2012 -2016 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM <br />(CIP) <br />WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Charter states that the City of Ramsey will adopt a Capital <br />Improvement Program (CIP) annually; and <br />WHEREAS, the CIP will consist of at least five years, and will estimate the future needs <br />for the public health, safety and welfare of the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the CIP shall consist of projects and facilities (capital improvements) <br />proposed to be undertaken during the next five fiscal years, which is 2012 -2016 with appropriate <br />supporting information as to the necessity of such improvements, cost estimates, and method of <br />financing; and <br />WHEREAS, the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) is a forecasting tool and not actual, <br />committee projects and expenditures. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA that the findings of fact relating <br />to the request are determined to be as follows: <br />1) The City Council of the City of Ramsey authorizes the adoption of the 2012 -2016 Capital <br />Improvement Program (CIP) <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mayor Ramsey, <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor Ramsey <br />Councilmember Wise <br />Councilmember Backous <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember McGlone <br />Councilmember Strommen <br />Councilmember Tossey <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />None <br />and the following abstained: <br />None <br />and the following were absent: <br />None <br />
