<br />GRE 115kV Update. The Public Utilities Commission (PUC) held the first public meeting
<br />regarding the GRE 115kV project. Following that meeting, the PUC has ordered an
<br />Environmental Assessment, set to be completed in March. That will start another comment
<br />period prior to the required public hearing.
<br />Ramsey Rail Station Bid Results. At 2 pm on Thursday, January 12, 2012, the Anoka County
<br />Railroad Authority received and opened bids for the Ramsey Rail Station. The Engineer's
<br />estimate for the project was $7,250,000. There were 8 bidders on the project that ranged from
<br />$6,583,300 - $7,124,500. The apparent low bidder for the project is Sheehy Construction at
<br />$6,583,000. This amount includes the Skyway connection to the Ramsey Municipal Parking
<br />Ramp which was bid at $940,000. Open review and approval of the bids, the Anoka County
<br />Railroad Authority is expected to award the Contract on January 26, 2011.
