Councilmember Jeffrey introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #08-09-194 A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ISSUANCE OF A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO LOCATE A RELIGIOUS INSTITUTION IN THE R-1 RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT WHEREAS, Saint Katharine Drexel Catholic Community (the “Permittee”) has properly applied for a Conditional Use Permit (the “Permit”) on the property generally located on the st northwest corner of Variolite Street and 161 Avenue, and legally described as: The Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter except the west 185.0 feet thereof and except roads subject to easement of record, Anoka County, Minnesota -Or upon recording- Lot 1, Block 1, St. Katharine Drexel’s First Addition (the “Subject Property”); and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission met on April 3, 2008 and conducted a public hearing and recommended City Council approve the request. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: Permit 1.That this shall be perpetual in its duration so long as the conditions imposed herein are complied with. 2.That the permitted uses on the site shall be limited to a religious institution and its associated activities. Permit 3.That this shall remain in effect for all of Lot 1, Block 1 and any portion of Outlot A that now, or in the future holds a religious institution as its principal use. Permittee The ability to expand the site operation shall exempt the from requiring PermitPermittee amendments for expansions of the church facility. The shall not be exempted from meeting any other applicable City Code and Building Code requirements. 4.That, with regard to the site plan, comprehensive plan amendment, and minor plat applications, the B-1 Business standards shall be utilized in reviewing the application. Subject 5.That no external activities, other than vehicles entering and exiting the Property , may occur prior to 6:00 a.m. and after 8:00 p.m.
