Councilmember Pearson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #03-01-026 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING TITLE CHANGE FOR TIM DWYER, FIREST SERGEANT TO CAPTAIN WHEREAS, City Council authorized the reorganization of the Police Department at their regular meeting of January 28, 2003; and WHEREAS, Tim Dwyer has served as First Sergeant since December of 2002 following the promotion of James Way to the position of Police Chief; and WHEREAS, the position of Captain will reflect the same duties as First Sergeant and define more clearly the role of second in command within the Department NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey confirms the recommendation of the Personnel Committee to change the title for Tim Dwyer, First Sergeant to Captain effective with the authorized reorganization of the Police Department. 2) That Mr. Dwyer will be compensated at the same annual salary for the position of Captain. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council member Elvig, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gamec Councilmember Councihnember Councilmember Councilmember Councilmember Pearson Elvig Kurak Stommen Zimmerman and the following voted against the same: None and the following abstained: None and the following were absent: Councilmember Cook
