Councilmember Pearson introduced the following re.qolution and moved for it~ adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #03-01-027D <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RE-APPOINTING TOM LAMERE TO THE PARKS AND <br />RECREATION COMMISSION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council adopted an ordinance in 1997 limiting commission <br />members to two (2) consecutive four year terms plus any incomplete partial term; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. Lamere has served on the Parks and Recreation Commission since <br />August, 1995 in a partial term and one four year term; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the re-appointment of Mr. Lamere will provide him with a second and final <br />four year term; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. Lamere has stated her interest in re-appointment to the Parks and <br />Recreation Commission. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the City Council of the City of Ramsey confirms the recommendation of the <br />Personnel Committee to re-appoint Mr. Tom Lamere to the Parks and Recreation <br />Commission for a second four year term of 11/01/02-10/31/06. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council member <br />Elvig, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Pearson <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember Kurak <br />Councilmember Stommen <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />Councilmember Cook <br /> <br /> <br />
