Councilmember Zimmerman introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #03-02-041 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING REPORT AND CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING ON <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #03-06 (BITUMINOUS OVERLAY OF 156TH AVENUE <br />FROM ARMSTRONG AND VARIOLITE) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to a motion of the Ramsey Public Works Committee, adopted <br />January 21, 2003, a feasibility study for the 2003 Street Maintenance Program has been prepared <br />by Steve Jankowski, City Engineer, with reference to Improvement Project #03-06 (Bituminous <br />Overlay of 156th Avenue from Armstrong to Variolite Street); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the report was received by the Ramsey City Council on February 11, 2003 <br />which indicates the following: <br /> <br />Estimated total cost of project <br /> <br />$29,289 <br /> <br />Estimated total assessment <br /> <br />$14,645 <br /> <br />Estimated assessment per unit <br />(3-year term) <br /> <br />$665.68 <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the Ramsey City Council will consider the improvements of 1 ½ inch bituminous <br />filling of such streets in accordance with the report and the assessment of abutting <br />property for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement pursuant to Minnesota <br />Statutes Chapter 429 and the Ramsey City Code Section 4.60 at an estimated total cost of <br />$29,289. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That a public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on the 1 lth day of <br />March, 2003 at Ramsey Fire Station No. 2, 15050 Armstrong Boulevard NW at 7:00 p.m. <br />and the City Administrator shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing and <br />improvement as required by law. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Kurak and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br />Councilmember Kurak <br />Councilmember Cook <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember Pearson <br /> <br /> <br />
