Councilmember Zimmerman introduced the following resolution and moved for its <br />adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION # 03-04-083 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION INDICATING SUPPORT FOR ANOKA COUNTY'S REQUEST <br />TO CHANGE THE FUNCTIONAL CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN <br />ROADWAYS WITHIN THE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Anoka County has requested support for functional classification changes <br />that they proposed that include: <br /> <br />Road From T__~o Existing Proposed <br />CSAH 22 (I 81st Ave NW) West City limits CSAH 83 (Armstrong Blvd) B Minor A Minor Expander <br />CR64 (I 81st Arc NW) CSAH 22 CSAH 5 (Nowthen Blvd) Local A Minor Expander <br />CSAi-f 5 (Nowthen Blvd) TH 47 (St. Francis) CSAH 56 (Ramsey Blvd) Collector A Minor Expander <br />CSAI-t 5 (Nowthen Blvd) CSAH 56 (Ramsey) CR64 (181st Ave NW) B Minor A Minor Expander <br />CSAH 83 (Armstrong Blvd) TH 10 CSAH 22 (18 lst Ave NW) Collector A Minor Expander <br />CR 116 (Industry) CSAH 83 CSAH 56 (Ramsey Blvd) Local A Minor Reliever <br />CR / CSAH 116 (Industry) CSAH 56 East City Limits B Minor A Minor Reliever <br /> <br />All of which are within the limits of the City of Ramsey; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the intended changes would qualify these roadways for federal funding and <br />increase the priority in the Anoka County roadway system; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on March 18, 2003, the Public Works Committee discussed the matter and <br />recommended that the City support the requested changes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The City of Ramsey has cooperatively worked with Anoka County over the <br />years to ensure the safety of the traveling public; and <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council hereby supports the above mentioned functional <br />classification changes and appreciates the efforts that Anoka County is taking to <br />find alternative methods to finance the needed improvements on roadways within <br />the limits of the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember Elvig, and upon vote being taken thereon, <br /> <br />The following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember Cook <br />Councilmember Kurak <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #03-04-083 <br /> Page 2 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
