Councilmember Elvig introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #03-04-085 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE POLICE DEPARTMENT TO PURCHASE THREE (3) DIGITAL CAMERAS, CASES, AND APPLICABLE BATTERIES, AND MEMORY CARDS FROM THE EQUIPMENT REPLACEMENT FUND NOT TO EXCEED $1,584.00 WHEREAS, staff has shown the need to replace some of their 35 mm cameras and digital cameras; and WHEREAS, staff has shown that the use of digital photography is the preferred technology in Anoka County for evidence documentation; and WHEREAS, the Police Department has coordinated with the Anoka County Sheriffs Office on their research into digital photography needs in Anoka County and has detelznined that National Graphic Supply can meet our equipment requirement at the lowest available price as determined by quotes; and WHEREAS, it has been determined that the requested digital cameras and necessary supplies can be fully funded with money from the Equipment Replacement fund not to exceed $1,584.00. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: l) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the Police Department to purchase three (3) Olympus Digital Cameras, cases, and applicable memory cards and batteries from National Graphic Supply utilizing funds from the Equipment Replacement Fund not to exceed $1,584.00. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Strommen, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereofi Mayor Gamec Councilmember Councilmember Councilmember Councilmember Councilmember Councilmember Elvig Strommen Cook Kurak Pearson Zimmerman and the following voted against the same: None
