Councilmember Kurak introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #03-04-087 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE LAWFUL GAMBLING FUND TO PURCHASE <br />"THE RAMSEY TREE BOOK", IN AN AMOUNT NOT-TO-EXCEED $1,400. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The Environmental Policy Task Force (EPTF) created a publication called <br />"The Ramsey Tree Book"; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Park Commission on April 10, 2003, recommended that funding for <br />500 copies of said book was to come from the Lawful Gambling Fund in an amount not-to- <br />exceed $1,400; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on April 22, 2003, City Council authorized staff to fund the purchase of the <br />"Ramsey Tree Book" from the Lawful Gambling Fund in an amount not to exceed $1,400. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />That the City Council of the City of Ramsey authorizes staff to purchase 500 copies of"The <br />Ramsey Tree Book" from the Lawful Gambling Fund in an amount not-to-exceed $1,400. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Zimmem~an, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Oamec <br />Councilmember Kurak <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br />Councilmember Cook <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councihnember Pearson <br />Councilmember Strommen <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
