Councilmember Kurak introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 03-05-105 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A ONE YEAR EXTENSION TO COMPLETE THE <br />REQUIRED IMPROVEMENTS ESTABLISHED IN THE DEVELOPMENT PERMIT FOR <br />PHASE II (TRANSFER STATION) OF ACE SOLID WASTE'S FACILITY. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council (the "City") approved a Development Permit for ACE <br />Solid Waste on April 25, 2000 and May 23, 2000 on the property generally known as 6601 <br />McKinley Street and legally known as: <br /> <br />Lot 2, AUDITOR'S SUBDIVISON NUMBER 30, except the southwesterly 80 <br />feet thereof, subject to easements of record, Anoka County, Minnesota <br /> <br />("the site") and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Development Permit requires construction of Phase I to be completed by <br />May 30, 2001 and construction of Phase II to be completed by May 30, 2003; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, ACE Solid Waste has satisfied the requirements for construction of Phase I and <br />has not initiated construction of Phase II; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey received a letter from the Permit Holder's Business <br />Manager requesting a one year extension to the May 30, 2003 Phase I construction timeline <br />established in the Development Permit. <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />That a one year extension to May 30, 2004, is herein granted to the Permit Holder to <br />complete the required improvements for Phase II (transfer station): <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Pearson, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Garnet <br />Councilmember Kurak <br />Councilmember Pearson <br />Councilmember Cook <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember Strommen <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br /> <br />
