Councilmember Zimmerman introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #03-06-139 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE RENAMING OF <br />INDUSTRY BLVD. NW (FROM THE EASTERN CITY LIMITS TO ARMSTRONG <br />BLVD) TO BUNKER LAKE BLVD NW <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, CR 116 extends from Lexington Blvd. (CR17) to Armstrong Blvd. (CR83), <br />a distance of over 15 miles; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, CR 116 is known as Bunker Lake Blvd. for over 10 miles of this length, <br />and represents the most recognized name for this roadway within the County, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the proposed name change would create a positive step towards <br />establishing a single uniform name for this important east/west arterial across the County. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the City Administrator is hereby directed to schedule a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. <br />on Tuesday, July 8, 2003 for the purpose of soliciting input on the above proposed street <br />name change. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the City of Ramsey requests that the City of Anoka consider a similar name change <br />for the remaining segment of this roadway under their jurisdiction. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Kurak and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereofi <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br />Councilmember Kurak <br />Councilmember Cook <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember Pearson <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />none <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />none <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #03-06-XXX <br /> Page 1 of 1 <br /> <br /> <br />
